T. Nikki Cesare, bassist
T. Nikki Cesare is currently a PhD candidate in Performance Studies at Tisch School of the Arts/NYU, Managing Editor of TDR: the drama review, and a critic for offoffonline.com. She has been published in TDR and Performance-Research, and has presented papers at NYU, Harvard University, and University of Michigan. Nikki attended Oberlin College where she received her B.M. in double bass performance and B.A.in English with highest honors. She went on to pursue her M.M. in double bass performance at Hartt School of Music with Robert Black, and then her M.A. in Performance Studies at NYU. Threading together music and performance theory, Nikki is considering a dissertation on the history and performance practice of postmodern music.
