Marc Rovetti, violin

Violinist Marc Rovetti is one of six Alberto Vilar Global Fellows in the Performing Arts at NYU. He is pursuing an Advanced Certificate degree in violin performance as a student of Pamela Frank. Marc has made solo appearances with the Sacramento Philharmonic and at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Marc Rovetti received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Juilliard School where he was a student of Ronald Copes and served as concertmaster of the Juilliard Orchestra. For the past four summers Marc has participated in the Tanglewood Music Center as both a fellow and as a member of the New Fromm Players, the resident contemporary ensemble. Marc Rovetti joined ICE in 2004, and has performed with the ensemble as soloist on numerous occasions, most recently in ICE’s NPR broadcast of Augusta Read Thomas’ violin concerto.
