Hear the voices.

The International Contemporary Ensemble, Chicago’s hottest new music group, proudly presents the third annual Chicago ICE Fest! Experience distinctive works that are little-known – as yet! Young composers from Mexico, Japan, Finland, Austria, South Korea, China, Czech Republic, Canada, Portugal, Russia, Georgia, Israel, and the US will all have their pieces brought to life – in one marathon week of concerts, outreach events, and workshops.

Chicago ICE Fest is an annual, six-event series that brings new music to local audiences in unconventional, daring ways. This year’s festival, “Polyphonic Voices: Music by Emerging Composers from Around the World” offers hot-off-the-press works by the world’s most talented young musical minds.

Over the past year, the musicians of ICE have collected, researched, and reviewed hundreds of submissions by promising composers from countries across the globe. The festival selected works that represent a remarkable diversity of styles – Polyphonic Voices.

ICE is grassroots, and community-oriented. That’s why all ICE Fest concerts are free and open to the public. We are fortunate to attract wonderful audiences; ICE concerts often fill completely. So reservations are strongly recommended: 312 494 2655

ICE Fest is made possible through the generous support of hundreds of individual donations – both small and large – from people who share ICE’s mission of promoting the music of our time. This project is partially supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. ICE is also grateful for the support of the Music Department of Columbia College Chicago.
