Mario Davidovsky is well known as one of the most influential composers of his generation. Born March 4, 1934, Davidovsky has taught at the University of Michigan, the Manhattan School of Music, Yale University, City College, CUNY, Columbia University, and Harvard University. His many honors include two Guggenheim Fellowships, two Rockefeller Fellowships, a Koussevitzky Fellowship, the Brandeis University Creative Arts Award, an American Academy of Arts & Letters Award, the 1971 Pulitzer Prize, a Naumburg Award, a Guggenheim Award, and the 1994 National Seamus Award.
Lucio Boschi began taking photographs when he was 20 years old, and, completely self-taught, he has pursued his interest for nearly two decades. Lucio took his first series of photographs while traveling throughout his native Argentina and the neighboring countries of South America. Since then he has traveled with his camera overland to Alaska, spent six months in the Yukon, traversed Siberia by train, and crossed China on a bicycle. His intimate, beautiful photographs display his extraordinary understanding and respect for the lands and cultures he encounters.
Praised for its "vivid, high-energy performances" (New York Times), the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) is a uniquely structured chamber music ensemble comprised of emerging performers and composers who are dedicated to advancing the music of our time. Through innovative programming, multimedia collaborations, commissions by young composers, and performances in nontraditional venues, ICE brings together new music and new audiences.
