Presented in partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute New York and the Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM Edition), 100 for 100. Musical Decades of Freedom celebrates the centennial of Polish independence. Steven Schick will lead the International Contemporary Ensemble in performances of works by five contemporary Polish composers: Agata Zubel, Paweł Mykietyn, Lidia Zielinska, Tadeusz Wielecki, and Aleksander Nowak.

Aleksander Nowak: Quantemporette
Pawel Mykietyn: Klave for harpsichord and ensemble

100 for 100: Musical Decades of Freedom is co-organized by PWM Edition to celebrate the centenary of Poland regaining independence and is held under the National Patronage of Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland and financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland as part of the Multi-Annual Program “Niepodległa” 2017-2021.

The Polish Cultural Institute New York was founded in 2000. It is a diplomatic mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, operating in the area of public diplomacy. Read more at www.polishculture-nyc.org.
