After several months of exploring works on ICEcommons and reaching out to composers, the ICEcommons Chicago Initiative is excited to announce the program for its first concert on December 2nd at Constellation Chicago! The program features a number of composers discovered through ICEcommons, a strong representation of Chicago-based composers, and a whole swath of faces that are new to the International Contemporary Ensemble! Owen Davis: n2 for saxophone and violin
Tom Kelly: Be Still Mobius for clarinet, bassoon, and cello
Sam Scranton: MAGICICADA BROOD XIII: All Aboard for Fun Time for four performers
Lisa Atkinson: corpse song for saxophone and bass clarinet
Tonia Ko: Hum Phenomenon for clarinet, violin, cello, and piano
Jessie Cox: Quantify for six players
Featuring Katinka Kleijn, Ryan Muncy, Cory Smythe, Jennifer Curtis, Ben Roidl-Ward, and Zachary Good.
